campcraft session

Campcraft at yuying saw students from yuhua and yuying secondary having a taste of life in the great outdoors. The session began with a briefing on camp and thereafter, it was fun all the way!

They got creative by opening canned food without a can opener with great success as they pounded the tin with rocks found in the car park. Within minutes, they were chomping their longans with much satisfaction.

Next, they were treated to a can of coke each. But the treat does not just end there. they were introduced how to make their very own solid fuel, with a drink can, candle wax, and coconut fibre. Enthralled by the demonstration, they were eager to show that they can replicate it too. :) And sure, they did.

Lastly, they were taught how to pitch a 6 man tent and that too, was embraced by the students.

Enough said; let the pictures do the talking. :)
